Yesterday (at least, I think it was yesterday) I watched an episode of Recess. It's a kid's cartoon that's centred on a group of fourth grade misfits who like to make assorted mayehm during recess. Basically. Anyway, in yesterdays episode, the 'cool" group decided to give every single kid on the playground a ranking out of ten. T.J., the main character, tries to convince his friends that the whole thing is stupid, but they start to believe it's valid when they discover they have high scores. Anyway, the whole playground ends up divided because of stupid arbitary numbers allotted to them by people who had no idea.
